Success of U.S.-ASEAN Smart Cities program creates demand for our peer-to-peer water utility partnerships in other water insecure regions.
U.S. Water Partnership (USWP) builds water resilience in climate-vulnerable communities by facilitating multi-sector collaboration across a unique network of public, private, and civil society partners for sustainable solutions - at home and abroad. USWP’s membership and U.S. government participation harness partner technology, insight and innovation to advance understanding of critical water issues and solve complex water security challenges - at scale.
Our Mission
U.S. Water Partnership unites, mobilizes, and shares the best of U.S. expertise, resources, and ingenuity to address global water challenges, building resilience where needs are greatest.
Our Goals
We share and support best practices, business models and technologies that ensure sustainable water management for people and the environment.
The Climate Crisis is a Water Crisis
Water is the front line of climate change. According to UN Water, increasing temperatures directly impact the water cycle - intensifying variable and extreme weather - leading to over 90% of disasters.

Our future demands resilience
Achieving effective community adaptation systems for healthy watersheds and well-functioning water services is essential to reduce vulnerability and ensure future availability.
Building resilience through integrated water resource management is critical to mitigating destabilizing climate change impacts.
Collaborating with other countries and multi-sector partners to build capacity is fundamental to building a water-secure world.
